Winter Break Responsibilities......
Reading
*Make sure you catch up on your steps if you need to. If you are all caught up or ahead of our goal, then reading is not required.
Math
*With the two paper plates given to you, create 2 equivalent fractions. You can show your two fractions using anything you have around the house.
*For example, you can make the fraction 1/2 by gluing pretzels to one half and spaghetti to the other half. Then make a fraction equivalent to 1/2 on the other plate.
Other: If you are meeting us at the garden please be there tomorrow, December 21st,from 12-1 pm. Bring your shovel and working clothes

*During our holiday party (on December 18th from 2-3pm), students will be doing a craft where they need to bring in a piece of decorative fabric of their choice and a glass plate with a rounded bottom and edges. They may be found at stores like Walmart or Goodwill. A note will be sent home on Monday with more details. Parents may also attend our party and do crafts with their child. Treats/goodies are also welcome to attend!!
*Begin working on your wax museum costumes at home and I will let you take home any supplies you may need from the classroom. You must have a costume created and at least one prop that has to do with your scientist or something he/she invented in energy. If you have any questions during the week about props just ask :O) Our wax museum will be during the week of December 18th. More information will be sent home this week for parents to attend.
*We will have to spend one more Saturday working in the garden. The date will be December 21st. I have one truck that can help and will be looking for 1 or 2 more available truck volunteers to be willing to dirty up their trucks.

**Get a head start on your current event and reading blog! Try to do a little bit each day.

Tuesday- Highlight and find your 3 vocab. words. Write the definitions
Wednesday- Write your summary part of the assignment.
Thursday- Write about why the article is important for you to know about (paragraph 2)
Friday- Turn it in!!
